I became a nurse to care for people at their most vulnerable state. I graduated nursing school in 2017 and went straight to critical care/intensive care because that’s where I felt I made the most difference in people’s lives, for patients and their family members. I believed, from personal experience, that having a good nurse during those difficult times made the experience a little less awful. I work in the ICU for four years before transitioning into aesthetics.
I knew my heart belonged to aesthetics after I had my chin filler done. It gave me a confidence in my normal day to day life that I never had in my adult years. This is the same feeling I strive to give others and why I decided to open The Edit after 5 years in the aesthetic industry. My why as a nurse is still the same in aesthetic medicine; to care for people in a vulnerable state. For many walking into an aesthetic practice is an insecurity they’re hoping to improve. My goal is to help boost your confidence in anyway that I can with respect to your anatomy and natural beauty. The intention is to make impactful changes with undetectable edits. Intentionally undetectable.

Dr. Alexandra Ruggiero, a seasoned physician with a wealth of experience, brings a unique blend of urgent care proficiency and a background as an Associate Medical Director in Health Insurance. In the realm of aesthetics, her journey began during family medicine residency, where she engaged in several rotations with an aesthetics practice, gaining hands-on experience in toxin and filler injections, as well as assisting in cool sculpting procedures.
Currently engaged in the dynamic field of obesity medicine telemedicine with Sequence Health, Dr. Ruggiero boasts extensive experience in prescribing GLP1 medications, showcasing her commitment to holistic patient care. Her role as an Associate Medical Director for a health plan underlines her leadership capabilities and commitment to overseeing and guiding medical teams. In her prior role with CVS minute clinic, Dr. Ruggiero served as a Collaborating Physician for over two years, demonstrating her collaborative approach in various medical settings.
